Kiran Millwood Hargrave
Kiran’s books are written in fantasy lands but they are real enough for the reader to feel like they are living through what the characters experienced. The books really are heartwarming because of the incredible thing that the characters work through and achieve with the help of bravery and friendship.

Birth:
1990
She was born in Surrey. She started writing poetry in her final year at university and wrote three poetry books. Her book the girl of ink and stars won the Waterstones children’s book prize in 2017.
Fun Facts:
Her earliest ambition was to be a cat, followed by a cat owner or the first woman on mars. She lives in Oxford with her husband and a cat Luna.
