Abi Elphinstone
She writes books that anyone can read because she always found it hard to read so she makes it easier for others like her to find the beauty of reading. She bases her books in both the real world and magical universes far away. All of her characters also learn important skills and make brilliant friends throughout their adventures.

She grew up near Edzell in Agnus, Scotland. She was dislexic and deemed 'unteachable'.2 of her other siblings were also dislexic too. She studdied english at Bristol University then worked as a teacher in Africa, Berkshire and London. Her first book was published in 2015.
Fun Facts:
She spent most of her childhood running wild on the moors and hiding in treehouses and dens. She lived with the Kazakh Eagle Hunters in Mongolia and went dog-sledding in the Arctic.
