When I first read a Jennifer Bell book I was instantly hooked and couldn't put it down. They are engaging and also you learn loads of interesting facts about nature, history and inspiring people. Her books are also so fun and they have lots of themes that children can definitely relate to.

She was born in London where she still lives and loved stories but not reading. She wanted to be a film derector and went to university to study filmwritting. After university, she found a book she loved and fell into the magical world of reading. Her first book was The Crooked Sixpence.
Fun Facts:
Most stories she heard as a child were told to her by her sister on the way to school. She wrote her first book during lunchbreaks when she worked at a bookshop.
